Lead DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to join our remote team and work on a project that focuses on Azure solutions and Cloud Security.

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for provisioning, configuring, and securing Azure solutions, including scripting/automation and CI/CD in Azure, deployment and functionality of container services, and integration with Salesforce. You will also work with databases such as Cosmos DB, MS SQL, and develop good understanding of Cloud Security, including encryption, certificate management, and network security.

Responsibilities
  • Provision, configure, and secure Azure solutions, ensuring efficient and scalable infrastructure management
  • Develop and automate DevOps processes and practices that focus on automation, innovation, and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in line with project goals and timelines
  • Oversee the optimization of performance and reliability for distributed systems, including monitoring and observability
  • Provide recommendations and implement remediations for security posture
  • Track all open security tasks and request exceptions to the Global Infosec team if required
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Lead and mentor the DevOps team, fostering a culture of growth and continuous learning within the group
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, working with complex cloud infrastructures and Azure solutions
  • Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Security, and Azure DevOps
  • Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure automation and management
  • Familiarity with WebApps, Virtual Machines, and network security
  • Advanced experience in scripting/automation and CI/CD in Azure for efficient delivery of application releases
  • Strong experience in deployment and functionality of container services, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Container Service
  • Good understanding of Operation Management Technologies, such as Azure Monitor or Datadog
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Cloud/CSPM, network/hub-and-spoke, and NVAs/Palo Alto
  • Ability to solve technical, business, and/or process related challenges through infrastructure-as-a-service or platform-as-a-service
  • Excellent documentation, dashboard, and report creation skills to provide transparency and visibility for the results of the strategic initiatives
  • Proven relevant leadership experience
  • English language proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level, enabling clear collaboration and discussion with the team and stakeholders
Nice to have
  • Experience with Datadog for monitoring and observability
  • Familiarity with Azure Machine Learning and Data Science
  • Experience with PowerShell for scripting and automation tasks
