Lead DevOps Engineer

We are in search of a Lead DevOps Engineer with Microsoft Azure specialization to join our remote team.
The incumbent will take the lead in directing the DevOps team in the overall coordination of the development operations pipeline, which encompasses the automation of infrastructure deployment and application of continuous integration and delivery practices. Our preferred candidate is a knowledgeable DevOps Engineer with prior involvement in Microsoft Azure and deep comprehension of container orchestration systems such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and deployment automation tools including Helm and Terraform. The job role includes strategizing, executing, and maintaining the infrastructure and devices useful in supporting our product range.
- Overseeing a group of DevOps Engineers in managing every aspect of the development operations pipeline
- Drawing and executing scalable, highly obtainable, and fault-friendly systems on Microsoft Azure
- Making and maintaining deployment automation tools with the help of Helm and Terraform
- Offering technical direction and advice to the group to make certain of scalable, manageable solutions that meet high-quality standards
- Teaming up with cross-functional teams to identify and settle technical problems while improving overall system performance and dependability
- Building rapport with the Product and Engineering teams to pinpoint and put process improvements into practice, including the acceptance of various technologies and frameworks
- Assisting other DevOps Engineers within the organization in enhancing their technical skills
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in DevOps, focusing on Azure and container orchestration systems
- Minimum of a year's experience in leading software development groups, demonstrating outstanding leadership skills
- Solid experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and Terraform
- Ability to write scripts in languages, including Bash, Ruby, Python
- Hands-on experience in setting up and keeping continuous integration and delivery pipelines alive
- Capable of working independently and heading a team from a virtual setting
- Excellent communication skills with a knack for working collaboratively with cross-functional groups
- English language fluency and a minimum of an upper-intermediate level proficiency for effective dialogue with stakeholders
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
- Experience with additional containerization technologies such as Docker Swarm
