Our remote team is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer with the primary function of optimizing our Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

In this capacity, you will oversee the conception, execution, and perpetual care of our Azure environment, to achieve superior performance and security. Collaboration with our development and operations teams is essential to the successful deployment and management of cloud-based applications using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm. Your proficiency in Terraform, Bash, Ruby, and Python will be invaluable in task automation and process streamlining.

Responsibilities
  • The creation, execution, and perpetual upkeep of our Microsoft Azure infrastructure to aid our cloud-based applications
  • Deployment, management, and scaling of containerized applications using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
  • Implementing task automation and streamlining processes using Terraform, Bash, Ruby, and Python
  • Team collaboration to assure seamless deployment and operation of cloud-based applications
  • Assuring the high availability, performance, and security of our Azure environment
  • The development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for efficient application deployment
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting Azure environment issues utilizing Prometheus and Grafana
  • Providing leadership and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers within the team
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years DevOps experience, with a specific focus on Azure infrastructure
  • A proven track record leading and managing developer teams, delivering successful project results
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation
  • Fluent in Shell scripting with Bash and at least Ruby or Python
  • Familiarity with GitOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and logging
  • Comfort working within Agile development methodologies
  • Excellent English communication skills, at an upper-intermediate level or above
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with machine learning and data analytics technologies
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
