We're on the lookout for a Lead DevOps Engineer who is an expert in Microsoft Azure to join our remote team.

In the role of a Lead DevOps Engineer, you'll help the DevOps team, overseeing all facets of the development operations pipeline. This includes automating infrastructure deployment and enforcing continuous integration and delivery practices. Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded DevOps Engineer well-versed in Microsoft Azure, with thorough knowledge of container orchestration systems such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and deployment automation tools like Helm and Terraform. Your key mandate will be the design, implementation, and maintenance of the infrastructure and tools that bolster our product offerings.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership of the DevOps Engineers team, managing the entire development operations pipeline
  • Design and implementation of scalable, highly available systems on Microsoft Azure
  • Development and maintenance of deployment automation tools using Helm and Terraform
  • Technical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and delivered at high-quality standards
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues, enhancing overall system performance and reliability
  • Close coordination with the Product and Engineering teams to recognize and implement process improvements, including the adoption of new technologies and frameworks
  • Mentoring fellow DevOps Engineers and fostering the growth of technical skills across the organization
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of DevOps experience with a strong focus on Azure and container orchestration systems
  • At least 1-year experience leading software development teams, showcasing powerful leadership abilities
  • Deep expertise in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and Terraform
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Ruby, and Python
  • A proven track record in implementing and maintaining continuous integration and delivery pipelines
  • Ability to work autonomously and lead a team in a remote setting
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Fluency in English at least at an Upper-Intermediate level for seamless communication with stakeholders
Nice to have
  • Prior experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack
  • Familiarity with additional containerization technologies such as Docker Swarm
