Lead DevOps Engineer

We request the services of a Lead DevOps Engineer who will work remotely to enhance the performance of our Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

In this capacity, your role includes designing, implementing, and maintaining our Azure environment to guarantee ideal performance and secure operations. You will partner with our development and operational teams in deploying and managing cloud-based applications utilizing Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm. Your skills in Terraform, Bash, Ruby, and Python are vital for automating tasks and improving our operations process.

Responsibilities
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Azure infrastructure to support cloud-based applications
  • Deploying, managing, and scaling of containerized applications using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
  • Task and procedural automation using terraform, Bash, Ruby, and Python
  • Collaborating with development and operations teams for seamless deployment and operation of cloud-based applications
  • Ensuring high availability, performance, and the security of our Azure environment
  • Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for efficient application deployment
  • Troubleshooting and monitoring issues in the Azure environment using Prometheus and Grafana
  • Providing leadership and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers in the team
Requirements
  • A minimum of five years experience in DevOps, focusing on Azure infrastructure
  • Proven leadership and management of developer teams, ensuring successful project outcomes
  • Comprehensive understanding and expertise in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation
  • Fluency in Shell scripting using Bash and proficiency in either Ruby and Python
  • Familiarity with GitOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience in monitoring and logging using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
  • Agile development methodologies experience
  • Excellent English communication skills, Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
  • Experience in machine learning and data analytics technologies
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
