Lead DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a remote Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team, with a focus on Microsoft Azure cloud. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of DevOps principles and cloud-based software-defined networking. You will collaborate closely with other members to design and create a fault-tolerant infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and reliable.

Responsibilities
  • Design and create a fault-tolerant infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and reliable
  • Setup, configure, and deploy Kubernetes
  • Create monitoring and analytics platforms using Azure Log Analytics, Google StackDriver / Operations Suite, New Relic, Splunk, or Datadog
  • Use your knowledge of Microsoft SQL or MySQL to keep systems running efficiently and smoothly
  • Ensure the infrastructure aligns with the needs of the target market and the business objectives of our customer
  • Lead the team of experienced engineers
Requirements
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • BA/BS Degree in relevant field
  • Deep understanding of cloud-based DevOps principles and software-defined networking
  • Proficiency with fault-tolerant infrastructure designs, including the use of regions and availability zones
  • Expertise in Kubernetes setup, configuration, and deployment
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (JavaScript, Ruby, Python, PHP, C#)
  • Experience with a unified, real-time monitoring and analytics platform such as Azure Log Analytics, Google StackDriver / Operations Suite, New Relic, Splunk, or Datadog
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL or MySQL
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tool like CircleCI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline
  • 1+ year of relevant leadership experience
  • Familiarity with an Agile work environment
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • B2+ English level proficiency
