We are seeking a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to join our remote team and lead the development and deployment of our cloud-based solutions using Amazon Web Services. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. You will also lead a team of DevOps Engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of our solutions. We are looking for a talented individual who shares our passion for delivering high-quality products.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and deployment of cloud-based solutions using Amazon Web Services
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure
- Lead a team of DevOps Engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of our solutions
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of software releases
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and design solutions that meet business needs
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on Amazon Web Services
- Expertise in Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI
- Proficiency in Linux system administration and networking
- Ability to design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure
- Strong leadership skills, with experience leading and mentoring a team of DevOps Engineers
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with other cloud providers such as Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Nomad or Mesos
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or Chef
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack
