We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead DevOps (Azure) Engineer to join our team. As the Lead DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership qualities, extensive experience with Azure, and a proven track record in leading and mentoring a DevOps team. You will play a critical role in driving the adoption of best practices, ensuring seamless operations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and support
- Design, implement, and manage the cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment
- Monitor and optimize system performance, security, and availability on Azure
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline the software development and release process
- Implement and maintain automated testing and quality assurance processes
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the DevOps team
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a DevOps professional with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure
- At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience, leading a DevOps team
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure and its various services
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and PowerShell for automation tasks
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus for infrastructure monitoring
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and hands-on experience in implementing pipelines
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- B2+ English level for effective communication with the team and stakeholders
Nice to have
- Additional experience with other cloud platforms like AWS and Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of additional automation and configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform
- Previous experience in designing and implementing highly available and scalable cloud architectures.
- Relevant certifications in Azure or other cloud technologies
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience in implementing security measures in a cloud environment
