We are looking for a Lead DBA & Cloud Migration Engineer to maintain and enhance our enterprise-level Oracle and SQL Server databases.

In this position, you will oversee high-performance, secure, and resilient Oracle and SQL Server databases in an enterprise setting. You will play a key role in database configuration and optimization, working closely with development teams. Responsibilities

Administer Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases
Configure and maintain database systems to ensure reliability
Perform software installation, upgrades, and patch management for database platforms
Monitor database performance and optimize for Oracle and SQL Server systems
Resolve database issues and ensure smooth operations
Implement high availability solutions like Oracle RAC and SQL Server Always On
Plan and manage replication, backups, and disaster recovery processes
Ensure databases adhere to audit and security compliance standards
Automate routine database management tasks through scripting
Use tools such as SQL Developer, OEM/Grid, Foglight, and OCI Console for monitoring and maintenance
Collaborate with developers to align database configurations with business goals
Maintain up-to-date documentation for database procedures

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
Background in Oracle Database Administration, including Oracle 19c, Exadata, RAC, and Data Guard, with 5+ years of experience
Background in SQL Server Database Administration with 5+ years of experience
Skills in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL databases
Understanding of performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
Proficiency in developing and managing high availability and disaster recovery solutions
Familiarity with database management tools like SQL Developer, OEM/Grid, and Foglight
Competency in problem-solving and issue resolution
Ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
Flexibility to work independently and collaboratively, with on-call responsibilities
Proficiency in English communication

Nice to have

Expertise in MongoDB
Knowledge of Azure SQL Managed Instance
Familiarity with Qlik and Kafka
Understanding of Informatica and Databricks
Capability to use ServiceNow for incident management
