Responsibilities
- Lead database migration from Microsoft SQL Server to PostgreSQL
- Design and implement cloud migration strategies using AWS
- Coordinate use of Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL deployments
- Optimize database performance and storage solutions
- Review and update application code for PostgreSQL compatibility
- Convert stored procedures from T-SQL to PL/pgSQL
- Ensure data integrity and minimal downtime during migrations
- Develop and enhance database operational scripts
- Supervise team tasks and project milestones
- Collaborate with clients to define requirements and objectives
Requirements
- Extensive experience in SQL Server and PostgreSQL (5+ years)
- Proven leadership skills in technical teams
- Track record of successful heterogeneous database conversions
- Expertise in cloud solutions with Amazon Web Services
- Strong knowledge of Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL
- Proficiency with AWS Data Migration Service
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Upper-Intermediate English language proficiency (B2)
