We are searching for an experienced Lead Datapath Software Developer with expertise in C and C++ to oversee the development of subsystems within our distributed storage systems. Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in C and C++ programming to create efficient and maintainable code
- Make architectural decisions that support scalability and ensure high-level performance benchmarks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve aligned project objectives
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks in code and optimize for multi-core and scale-out environments
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide valuable feedback to junior developers
- Solve complex technical challenges by crafting innovative and effective solutions
Requirements
- At least 5-6 years of experience in software development with a focus on distributed storage systems
- Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages with understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Background in leading the development of entire subsystems within complex storage solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with competency in resolving technical issues
- Skills in distributed file systems and network protocols
- Effective communication skills suited for collaborative, team-oriented settings
- Enthusiasm for delving into complex technical areas with a self-driven approach
- Proficiency in English communication at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Expertise in Linux or BSD kernel-level development
- Understanding of Python programming language
