We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Data Software Engineer to join our remote team, working with a leading provider of technology solutions for the automotive industry, making buying, selling, owning and using cars easier for everyone. With their technology, market intelligence, and products and services, the Client simplifies the trusted exchange and mobility of vehicles. As a Lead Data Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the design and development of our data-driven solutions, leading a team of engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of data-driven solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and support as needed
- Develop and implement best practices for software development and engineering processes, ensuring the team adheres to industry standards
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and Analysts to identify and implement effective data solutions
- Design and implement data pipelines, ensuring data quality and reliability
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in Data Software Engineering and share knowledge with the team
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Software Engineering, demonstrating your proficiency in designing and developing data-driven solutions
- 1+ year of experience in leading engineering teams, showcasing your ability to mentor and guide team members
- Strong expertise in Python and PySpark, with experience in AWS (Lambda, S3, SageMaker, Glue Job, VPC, API Gateways, CDK)
- Experience with containerized models and data ingestion implementation from multiple sources
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing you to identify and resolve complex technical issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
