We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Software Engineer to join our remote team, working with a leading supplier of IT solutions for care management software, recruitment CRM systems and payroll systems. As the foremost technical authority in the Data Engineering team, you will drive forward the development of the data platform, including developing system architecture and robust, efficient, and clearly documented data products and pipelines within an agile working environment. Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the data platform, including system architecture, data pipelines, and data products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data needs and requirements
- Develop and maintain ETL processes, data warehousing, and data integration solutions
- Ensure the quality and reliability of the data platform, including data validation, testing, and documentation
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals
- Provide technical leadership and support to cross-functional teams, ensuring the successful delivery of data-driven projects
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Software Engineering, showcasing your proficiency in developing and implementing data solutions
- At least 1 year of experience with leading and mentoring a team of data engineers, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals
- Expertise in Python, PySpark, Databricks and other relevant Data tools and technologies
- In-depth understanding of Cloud (AWS and Azure) environments and their services
- Strong understanding of data architecture and system design, including database design and optimization, data modeling, and data governance
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience in developing and implementing machine learning models and algorithms
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools, such as JIRA or Trello.
