We are looking for a remote Lead Data Software Engineer to join our team.
You should have skills in Python and AWS, along with a passion for leading and mentoring, and be responsible for supporting Data Science teams and driving innovative data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and provide hands-on support to Data Science teams
- Take ownership of table-building processes and minimal ticket interactions, while supporting existing FTE team members in mentorship endeavors
- Architect and construct datamarts with distinct data models
- Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to understand and implement their requirements
- Contribute to the development of ingestion pipelines
- Working seamlessly with colleagues to achieve common goals while promoting an inclusive and collaborative environment
- Lead the team and monitor and support junior team members
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the field of Data Software Engineering
- At least 1 year of direct leadership and team management experience,
- Proficiency in Python,
- Strong familiarity with AWS
- Experience with Apache Airflow
- Proficiency in Apache Spark
- Understanding of ETL processes, ensuring accurate and consistent data management
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with REST API
- B2+ English level
Nice to have
- Familiarity with DataBricks and Spark
- Experience with Redshift
