Responsibilities
- Lead the development and successful implementation of the proposed data access approval, access audit, and reporting solution
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, understanding project requirements and actively influencing decision-making processes
- Leverage your deep understanding of business challenges and technical landscapes to architect high-quality technical solutions
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, conducting comprehensive code reviews, and ensuring solutions align with best practice specifications
- Take ownership of unit testing procedures and the creation of thorough project documentation, contributing to robust and reliable data solutions
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Data Software Engineer, demonstrating a consistent record of delivering successful data projects
- At least 1 year of hands-on leadership and team management experience, showcasing your ability to guide and inspire a technical team
- Proficiency in Python, utilizing its capabilities to develop efficient and scalable data solutions
- Strong command of the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework, leveraging cloud resources to optimize data engineering workflows
- Expertise in the Alation Platform, contributing to effective data governance and management practices
- Proficiency in Databricks, enabling seamless data processing and analysis
- Mastery of Java, enhancing your ability to design and implement complex software solutions
- Experience with Web Service / API Test Automation Tools in Java, ensuring robust and reliable data interfaces
- Thorough understanding of SQL, enabling you to work with and manipulate intricate data sets
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level, enabling effective collaboration with an international team
Nice to have
- Familiarity with the Alation Data Governance App, further enhancing data governance capabilities
- Experience with BitBucket, contributing to streamlined version control and collaboration practices
