We are in search of a Lead Data Software Engineer to join our team. If you possess exceptional skills in Python and AWS, along with a passion for leading and mentoring, we invite you to apply and play a pivotal role in supporting Data Science teams and driving innovative data solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and provide hands-on support to Data Science teams, including addressing incoming support tickets and offering guidance and mentorship, while fostering a collaborative and growth-focused environment
  • Take ownership of table-building processes and minimal ticket interactions, while supporting existing FTE team members in mentorship endeavors
  • Architect and construct datamarts with distinct data models designed for analytics purposes, working in agile sprints
  • Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to understand and implement their requirements by the end of each quarter, catering to ad-hoc requests and offering on-call support as needed
  • Contribute to the development of ingestion pipelines, ensuring efficient data processing and management.
  • Display a commitment to generating comprehensive documentation that aids users in effectively utilizing provided information
  • Embrace a team-oriented approach, working seamlessly with colleagues to achieve common goals while promoting an inclusive and collaborative environment
  • Demonstrate strong communication and documentation skills while effectively functioning as a part of the customer's team
  • Actively seek and receive constructive feedback, displaying a proactive attitude toward continuous learning and adaptability to new technologies
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field of Data Software Engineering, showcasing your expertise in data solution development
  • At least 1 year of direct leadership and team management experience, highlighting your ability to inspire and guide a technical team
  • Proficiency in Python, utilizing its capabilities to construct efficient and robust data pipelines
  • Strong familiarity with AWS, leveraging cloud resources to optimize data processing and storage
  • Experience with Apache Airflow, contributing to the automation and orchestration of data workflows
  • Proficiency in Apache Spark, enabling you to work with large-scale data processing and analysis
  • Thorough understanding of ETL processes, ensuring accurate and consistent data management
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices, promoting efficient and reliable software development
  • Proficiency in SQL, enabling you to query and manipulate data effectively
  • Experience with REST API, enhancing your ability to create and manage data interfaces
  • Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level, facilitating effective collaboration and communication
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with DataBricks and Spark, further enhancing your ability to handle extensive data processing and analysis
  • Experience with Redshift, contributing to optimized data warehousing solutions
