We are looking for a skilled Lead Data Software Engineer to join our remote team for the AI regulations project, which aims to boost the capacities of administrative service centres to deliver accessible and inclusive assistance. In this role you will take charge of designing, developing and maintaining scalable and efficient data software solutions. You will also lead a team of developers, providing technical guidance and support throughout the development lifecycle. Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data software solutions
  • Lead a team of developers, providing technical guidance and support throughout the development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and understand project requirements
  • Ensure software quality and maintainability through code reviews, testing, and documentation
  • Optimize and fine-tune data software solutions to ensure enhanced performance and scalability
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply them to improve our data software solutions
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Software Engineering
  • 1+ year of experience in leading a team of developers
  • Expertise in Python core and Pandas
  • Proficiency in working with Databricks, Amazon Web Services and Azure Data Factory
  • Experience in Power BI report development and Jupyter Notebook
  • Strong understanding of data software engineering principles and concepts
  • Ability to design and implement scalable and efficient data software solutions
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to lead a team of developers
  • Fluent English language skills with an upper-intermediate level
Nice to have
  • mExperience with other programming languages such as Java and Scala
  • Knowledge of machine learning and data science techniques
