As the Lead Data Scientist, your role will include overseeing the entire data mining process, from data collection and cleansing to exploratory analysis.
You will be tasked with devising solutions and strategies to address business challenges and developing Artificial Intelligence models like Machine Learning.
Your expertise in data science will be crucial in leading our team to success and providing value to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with EPAM’s clients and teams to shape the technology vision for AI/ML-driven solutions
- Oversee the data mining process, including data collection, cleansing, and exploratory analysis
- Devise solutions and strategies to address business challenges
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver value to our clients
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in data science and Artificial Intelligence
- Mentor and develop junior team members
- Promote thought leadership in the data science and Artificial Intelligence domains
- Develop holistic Data Science solutions for customer issues
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in data science, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity
- Proven background in data analysis, data mining, and exploratory analysis
- Expertise in Artificial Intelligence models such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing
- Proficiency in Cloud Services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Programming skills (Python preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a talent for inspiring and motivating teams
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, adept at explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Fluency in English
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Applied Statistics, or a related field
