Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Subject Matter Experts, and Development team to define and analyze user stories tracked in Jira
Define, design, and implement software solutions using a modern technology stack
Showcase solutions and explain business value to stakeholders during sprint showcases
Work in configuration activities to support data integration initiatives
Maintain a balance between independent work and team collaboration as needed
Apply agile methodologies to deliver quality products iteratively
Drive improvements in data engineering processes and practices

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent industry experience
At least 5 years of experience as a professional Data Engineer
More than 1 year of relevant leadership experience
Expertise in SQL, including creating views, stored procedures, and functions
Background in data modeling with a focus on best practices
Proficiency in Snowflake for data warehousing and analysis
Understanding of data warehouse principles and architecture
Familiarity with AWS and its data-related services
Experience in Python, particularly for ETL tasks using Pandas and NumPy
Capability to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools like Bitbucket/GitHub and Bamboo
Fluency in English

Nice to have

Background in financial systems and reporting, focusing on investments accounting or general ledger
Knowledge of integrating large-scale ERP or financial investment systems
Competency in delivering data solutions using AWS tools such as S3, Glue, Athena, and Lambda through agile methodologies
Familiarity with business intelligence tools and reporting platforms
Skills in agile practices, including story estimation and sprint planning
