Lead Content Designer

We are looking for a remote Lead Content Designer to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be to define and deliver an end-to-end content strategy for product experiences. This role requires human-centered design methods to conceptualize, write, test, and deliver in-product content. You will build strong relationships with cross-domain content owners to ensure a cohesive product and brand experience. As a Lead Content Designer, you will contribute scalable, reusable standards for content (mechanics, tone, style, accessibility) to the Design System.

Responsibilities
  • Define and deliver end-to-end content strategy for product experiences
  • Apply human-centered design methods to conceptualize, write, test, and deliver in-product content
  • Contribute scalable, reusable standards for content (mechanics, tone, style, accessibility) to the  Design System 
  • Build strong relationships with cross-domain content owners to ensure a cohesive product and brand experience
  • Support and manage the team of specialists
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience
  • 1+ year of relevant leadership experience
  • Expertise in writing useful, accessible, and natural-sounding product UI content in American English
  • Advanced working expertise in Figma and content-specific plug-ins like Ditto
  • Ability to draw from a variety of content strategy/content design frameworks to address complicated human problems across screens and product areas
  • Advanced presentation and storytelling skills, including PPT creation
  • Competent facilitation and workshopping skills
  • Baseline understanding of headless content management systems and GitHub
  • Working understanding of AI/ML for content design, including NLU development, designing for generative AI, and prompt engineering
  • Relationship building and a 'one team' mindset
  • Growth mindset and first-principles thinking
  • B2+ English level proficiency
Nice to have
  • Experience with content mapping and sourcing for new product experiences
  • Experience in defining in-product flows for imagery, user-generated content, and other rich content types sourced through Content Platform/CGS and third-party providers
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365
