We are looking for a Lead Cloud Security Engineer to join our remote team of distributed security professionals. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will work with a distributed team of security professionals whose responsibility is to ensure the data we collect and generate is secure from unauthorized access, and that our devices and systems are secure, resilient, and compliant. As the Lead Cloud Security Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the security team in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based security systems.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based security systems
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with industry standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of cloud-based systems and data
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and address security vulnerabilities
  • Develop and implement security incident and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to security incidents
  • Provide guidance and support to the security team in identifying and addressing security risks and issues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Communicate security risks and issues to senior management and stakeholders
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud security engineering, including at least 2 years of relevant leadership experience
  • Expertise in Amazon AWS Security, Identity & Compliance, and Azure Security
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell to automate security processes and procedures
  • Strong understanding of Security Architecture principles and practices, including network security, security protocols, cryptography, and identity management
  • Experience in identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
  • Proven track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and security incident and event management systems
  • Ability to develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with industry standards and regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at an upper-intermediate level
  • Experience of leading a team for 1 year, at least
Nice to have
  • Experience with other cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and IBM Cloud
  • Certification in cloud security or related fields
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS
