We are thrilled to invite a Lead Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen and guide the security strategies of our infrastructure at Europe’s premier online restaurant reservation platform.
As a core member of the Security team, you will play a key role in conceptualizing, applying, and directing secure cloud-based solutions that power our SaaS offerings and high-traffic B2C systems. Join our dynamic environment and take part in reshaping how people experience dining across Europe.
Responsibilities
- Supervise engineering teams in determining, creating, and deploying optimal cloud solutions
- Design and safeguard DevOps initiatives in hybrid cloud setups
- Implement and lead security protocols throughout the software development lifecycle
- Establish and refine secure, reusable Infrastructure as Code frameworks
- Manage and oversee security-related resources and tools
- Evaluate security alerts, prioritize issues, and coordinate remediation strategies
- Mentor teams in resolving intricate security challenges linked to cloud configurations and architecture
- Build and sustain processes for security notifications and prompt issue resolution
- Deliver advanced training to teams on emerging cloud-based innovations
Requirements
- Previous experience as a System Administrator or DevOps professional in high-traffic website environments utilizing Linux, Apache/Nginx, Varnish, Node.js/PHP
- Leadership experience of at least 1 year
- Proficiency in a configuration management tool, such as Terraform
- Background in DevOps and Infrastructure as Code methodologies
- Expertise with AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes
- Skills in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby
- Proactive mindset toward security, coupled with an ability to advance platform designs
- Traits including rigor, dynamism, curiosity, and teamwork
- Passion for acquiring and sharing knowledge among team members
- Capability to communicate fluently in English with global colleagues
Nice to have
- Showcase of expertise in designing secure network connections across cloud accounts
- Deep familiarity with distinctions in cloud networking services offered by AWS and Azure
- Background in conducting technical security evaluations and leading remediation efforts
- Qualifications in Terraform or proficiency with similar Infrastructure as Code tools
- Understanding of contrasts in leading cloud solutions and orchestration tools such as Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Knowledge of systems like ELK, Prometheus, Istio, Jenkins, or Github Actions
- Competency in leadership, collaboration, and communication, paired with a demonstrated passion for working within cross-functional teams
