We are looking for a Lead Cloud Security Engineer to enhance and lead the security efforts of our infrastructure at the top online restaurant reservation platform in Europe.
As a principal member of the Security team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and leading secure cloud-based solutions that support our SaaS services and high-traffic B2C interfaces. Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead engineering teams in identifying, designing, and implementing optimal cloud solutions
- Design and secure DevOps solutions in a hybrid cloud environment
- Lead the implementation of security measures throughout the software development lifecycle
- Develop and standardize secure, reusable Infrastructure as Code resources
- Take ownership and manage security resources and tools
- Lead the assessment of security alerts, prioritization of issues, and orchestrate remediation
- Guide teams in resolving advanced security issues within their cloud configurations and designs
- Establish and maintain processes for security alerting and timely resolution
- Develop and provide advanced training to teams on new cloud-based initiatives
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator or DevOps, with proven expertise in high traffic websites using Linux, Apache/Nginx, Varnish, Node.js/PHP
- At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
- Proficiency in at least one configuration management tool such as Terraform
- Extensive experience with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code
- Advanced skills in AWS, Docker or/and Kubernetes
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby
- Proactive approach to security with a demonstrated ability to lead platform evolution
- Characteristics of being rigorous, dynamic, curious, and team-oriented
- Strong enthusiasm for learning and sharing knowledge with colleagues
- Proven ability to communicate fluently in English with international team members
Nice to have
- Experience in architecting secure network connections between cloud accounts
- Deep understanding of cloud networking offerings differences within AWS, Azure
- Experience performing technical security assessments and leading remediation
- In-depth familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
- Proficiency and understanding of key differences between most popular cloud provider solutions and cloud orchestration tools (e.g., Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
- Knowledge of tools such as ELK, Prometheus, Istio, Jenkins, Github Actions
- Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for leading and working with DevOps and other functional team members
