We are looking for a Lead Business Analyst with Product Ownership responsibilities to take end-to-end ownership of a Bill of Materials web application with complex financial calculations and limited existing documentation. You will drive discovery, document business logic, and guide delivery while serving as the go-to expert—apply now to help shape the product’s next evolution.
Responsibilities
- Own the product’s business logic, including financial calculations, formulas, and summarization rules
- Validate monetary calculations by analyzing formulas, rounding behavior, and aggregation logic
- Serve as the single source of truth for application behavior across flows, edge cases, and exceptions
- Reverse-engineer existing system behavior to recover undocumented business processes
- Document end-to-end business flows, including happy paths, error scenarios, and dependencies
- Build and maintain a living knowledge base of business rules, decision trees, and process maps
- Create user-facing documentation such as guides, manuals, and FAQs to enable self-service adoption
- Lead discovery sessions to identify needs, pain points, and improvement opportunities
- Translate findings into well-structured EPICs and user stories with clear scope and value
- Write Gherkin acceptance criteria to ensure shared understanding and testability
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog to align outcomes with delivery capacity
- Ensure end-to-end traceability from discovery through implementation and validation
- Set expectations on scope, timelines, and trade-offs while managing difficult stakeholder dynamics
- Facilitate alignment across conflicting viewpoints and drive decisions constructively
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis and product ownership for web applications
- Experience translating business needs into EPICs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Strong leadership skills to lead discovery sessions and drive decisions with stakeholders
- Proven stakeholder management skills to handle high-friction conversations and set expectations
- Strong requirements engineering skills with Gherkin (Given/When/Then) for testable acceptance criteria
- Strong documentation skills to reverse-engineer and document legacy or undocumented systems
- Strong analytical skills to validate complex financial formulas, rounding rules, and aggregation logic
- High attention to detail for numerical data and edge-case handling
- Strong communication skills with assertive, respectful pushback when needed
- Strong problem-solving skills to work independently with ambiguity and incomplete information
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2) for professional collaboration and documentation
Nice to have
- Experience with financial or accounting applications or Bill of Materials systems
- Familiarity with ERP or supply chain domains
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Miro, or similar tools
- Basic SQL or data querying skills to validate calculations independently
- Experience with legacy system migrations or modernization initiatives
