We're looking for a Lead Business Analyst to manage requirements gathering, coordinate with stakeholders, and oversee solution delivery in a credit risk and commodity trading setting. The right candidate will possess strong knowledge of credit risk domains, solid analytical capabilities, and the capacity to connect business and IT functions through both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities
  • Identify business challenges, value drivers, and functional/non-functional needs, then convert them into working functionality
  • Evaluate the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impact associated with proposed solutions
  • Map out processes, data flows, and technology systems to understand existing value, pinpoint issues, and suggest enhancements
  • Develop and maintain clear requirement documentation that stays aligned with the solution throughout the project, ensuring traceability from initial business needs to testing and final delivery
  • Collaborate with software vendors, designers, and developers to understand technical constraints and confirm that business requirements and use cases are met
  • Set up and document software configurations and processes according to established standards and tools
  • Establish acceptance criteria and confirm solutions meet business needs via coordinated testing and UAT support
  • Deliver persuasive business cases that demonstrate solution value and secure approval, funding, and prioritization
  • Direct stakeholder engagement efforts, large-scale design sessions, and workshops
  • Guide teams through the completion of business analysis tasks on projects
  • Train stakeholders, including Product Owners and business partners, on Agile methodologies
  • Manage competing priorities while facilitating communication between business and IT teams
Requirements
  • 10-15 years of IT experience overall, holding a Bachelor's/Master's degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with Credit Risk functions, Commodity Derivatives (both physical and financial), price curves, and credit risk metrics like LGD, ECL, PD, and PFE
  • Working knowledge of Credit Risk Reporting, covering exposure, credit review, limit reporting, and controls reporting
  • Experience in requirements management, process and data analysis, and stakeholder engagement, including leading workshops and driving alignment on solutions
  • Skilled in Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, JIRA, and Confluence
  • Hands-on experience with both Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of turning business needs into clear user stories and specifications
  • An analytical thinker who can operate independently as a self-starter
  • Exposure to ETRM systems like Endur and Aligne
Nice to have
  • Capabilities in Business Process Modeling, Change Management, and UI/UX Design Thinking
  • Strong background in Data Visualization, Analytics, and Modeling
  • Knowledge of Generative AI Use Cases and storytelling approaches
  • Grasp of the trading lifecycle spanning pre-deal through settlement
  • Familiarity with commodity markets and regulatory compliance requirements
