We are looking for a remote Lead Big Data Engineer with Databricks experience to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role with advanced SQL coding skills, data warehousing experience, and expertise in building event-driven scalable and resilient systems. The candidate should be proficient in software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile and implement solutions utilizing Data Lake.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement solutions utilizing Data Lake
- Design and manage the company's big data infrastructure and architecture
- Ensure quality control, testing, and deployment of Big Data solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and execute improvements to our data processing architecture
- Mentor and lead junior team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role with experience in Data Software Engineering and Databricks
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with Data Warehousing
- Proficient in Agile methodologies
- Expertise in building event-driven scalable and resilient systems
- B2+ English level
Nice to have
- Experience with Apache Airflow, and SQL databases
- Familiarity with Apache Spark, Hadoop, and stream processing engines
