Lead BI/DWBI Engineer for a Business Services Company

We are currently looking for a remote Lead BI/DWBI Engineer with 5+ years of BI experience and DWBI proficiency to join our team.

The customer is a provider of high-quality business services in such areas as IT, Procurement, HR, Product Lifecycle Services, Financial Reporting and Analytics, and Real Estate and Facility Services.

The main pool of tasks is associated with developing and optimizing BW/BI Solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the back-end of BI solutions is created in the most efficient and supportable manner to feed the visualizations of the front-end and ensure business user satisfaction
  • Assessing front-end mockup vs. available data sources and proposing the most efficient way to pre-process and store data to feed into the visualizations
  • Working with the front-end developers to decide where to execute data transformations (back-end or front-end) and develop the solution accordingly
  • Creating the ETL / Data Pipelines or table structure required to feed the visualizations in the most efficient manner
  • Suggesting and implementing industry best-practices related to database design to boost performance and minimize down-time
Requirements
  • 5+ years of BI experience
  • 1+ year of leadership experience
  • Experience in DWBI 
  • Knowledge of Data Modelling
  • Experience with S3, AWS Glue, Aurora DB
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL as keyways to extract and process data in order to feed into the visualizations
  • Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL language peculiarities
  • Understanding of Database modeling and Data structures
  • Understanding of commercially available ETL tools, such as Knime, Tableau Prep, Informatica, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Analysis services, Power BI, etc.
  • English level B2+
