Lead Azure DevOps Engineer

We are on the lookout for a Lead Azure DevOps Engineer to become part of our remote team.

This position centers around the creation and protection of our Azure cloud environments. Working hand in hand with our development and infrastructure teams, the role involves implementing cloud security best practices within our Azure infrastructure. It's an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and play a significant role in safeguarding our cloud environments.

Responsibilities
  • Design and execution of Azure cloud security solutions using an infrastructure-as-code approach
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to embed security best practices across the Azure infrastructure
  • Creation and upkeep of secure, compliant cloud environments
  • Establishment of monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments for detection of security incidents and vulnerabilities
  • Execution of access management and security controls in cloud environments to ensure compliance with security standards
  • Assurance that cloud environments and applications align with security and regulatory standards
  • Provision of advice to other teams on cloud security best practices
  • Up-to-date awareness of emerging cloud security trends and technologies
  • Regular security evaluations and audits on the cloud infrastructure
  • Contribution to the ongoing enhancement of cloud security processes and procedures
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in cloud security engineering roles
  • A proven track record of leading and coaching a team of engineers
  • Expertise in Azure cloud security, with practical experience in an infrastructure-as-code approach
  • Previous experience in the implementation of security controls for cloud environments, including monitoring, alerting, and access management
  • Proficiency in Git for version control and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
  • Solid comprehension of container orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or Openshift
  • Prior experience in establishing monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments
  • Deep understanding of web infrastructure basics like DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, networking, security best practices, performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Nice to have
  • Background with both relational and non-relational databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or HyperScale
