Lead Azure DevOps Engineer

Our team is currently on the lookout for a Lead Azure DevOps Engineer to join our remote workforce.

This position focuses on creating and protecting our Azure cloud environments. You will work closely with our development and infrastructure teams, integrating cloud security best practices into our Azure framework. This opportunity offers an exciting arena to navigate cutting-edge technologies and significantly enhance the security of our cloud environments.

Responsibilities
  • Architecture and deployment of Azure cloud security solutions using an infrastructure-as-code methodology
  • Collaboration with diverse teams to embed security best practices across the Azure infrastructure
  • Building and preserving secure, compliant cloud environments
  • Establishment of monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments for the identification of security incidents and vulnerabilities
  • Enforcement of access management and security controls in cloud environments to ensure compliance with security standards
  • Assurance of security and regulatory standards compliance in cloud environments and applications
  • Provision of guidance to other teams on cloud security best practices
  • Keeping up with emerging cloud security trends and technologies
  • Performing regular security assessments and audits on the cloud infrastructure
  • Participation in the ongoing enhancement of cloud security processes and procedures
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cloud security engineering roles
  • A proven track record of leading and mentoring a team of engineers
  • Expert-level proficiency in Azure cloud security, with practical experience in an infrastructure-as-code approach
  • Proficiency in implementing security controls for cloud environments, including monitoring, alerting, and access management
  • Competence in Git for version control and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or comparable tools
  • A firm grasp of container orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or Openshift
  • Experience in establishing monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments
  • A comprehensive understanding of web infrastructure basics like DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, networking, security best practices, performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or HyperScale
