Lead Azure DevOps Engineer

We are in search of a Lead Azure DevOps Engineer to become an integral part of our remote team.

You will be responsible for constructing and protecting our Azure cloud environments. Collaborating closely with our development and infrastructure teams, you will apply cloud security best practices within our Azure infrastructure. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technologies and have a significant impact on the security of our cloud environments.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deployment of Azure cloud security solutions utilizing an infrastructure-as-code approach
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices across the Azure infrastructure
  • Building and preserving secure, compliant cloud environments
  • Installation of monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments for the identification of security incidents and vulnerabilities
  • Implementation of access management and security controls in cloud environments in adherence to security standards
  • Assurance of compliance with security and regulatory standards for cloud environments and applications
  • Provision of guidance to other teams on cloud security best practices
  • Staying updated on emerging cloud security trends and technologies
  • Regular execution of security assessments and audits on the cloud infrastructure
  • Contribution to the continual enhancement of cloud security processes and procedures
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cloud security engineering roles
  • A proven record of leading and mentoring a team of engineers
  • Expertise in Azure cloud security, with practical experience in an infrastructure-as-code approach
  • Experience with the implementation of security controls for cloud environments, including monitoring, alerting, and access management
  • Proficiency in using Git for version control and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
  • A comprehensive understanding of container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Openshift
  • Experience in installing monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments
  • A deep understanding of web infrastructure fundamentals like DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, networking, security best practices, performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or HyperScale
