Lead Azure DevOps Engineer

We are on the lookout for a Lead Azure DevOps Engineer to become an integral part of our remote team.

This role is centered around creating and protecting our Azure cloud environments. Collaboration with our development and infrastructure teams is vital, as you will be implementing cloud security best practices within our Azure infrastructure. This opportunity presents a platform to utilize cutting-edge technologies and significantly enhance the security of our cloud environments.

Responsibilities
  • Creation and implementation of Azure cloud security solutions using an infrastructure-as-code approach
  • Cooperation with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices across the Azure infrastructure
  • Building and maintaining secure, compliant cloud environments
  • Installation of monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments for vulnerability and security incident detection
  • Implementation of access management and security controls in cloud environments to ensure compliance with security standards
  • Compliance assurance of cloud environments and applications with security and regulatory standards
  • Provision of guidance to other teams on cloud security best practices
  • Staying informed about emerging cloud security trends and technologies
  • Regular conduct of security assessments and audits on the cloud infrastructure
  • Contribution to the continuous enhancement of cloud security processes and procedures
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in cloud security engineering-related roles
  • A proven track record of leading and mentoring a team of engineers
  • Expertise in Azure cloud security, with practical experience in an infrastructure-as-code approach
  • Experience in implementing security controls for cloud environments, including monitoring, alerting, and access management
  • Proficiency in Git for version control and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
  • Comprehensive understanding of container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Openshift
  • Experience in setting up monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments
  • In-depth understanding of web infrastructure fundamentals like DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, networking, security best practices, performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Nice to have
  • Experience with both relational and non-relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or HyperScale
