Lead Azure DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Azure DevOps Engineer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and automation tools to support our cloud-based solutions. Working closely with development teams, you will ensure high levels of availability, reliability, and scalability in a dynamic Agile development environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of features in a highly competitive industry. As a Lead Azure DevOps Engineer, you will also mentor and manage a team of engineers, ensuring they have the support and guidance to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and automation tools to support our cloud-based solutions
  • Ensure high levels of availability, reliability, and scalability in a dynamic Agile development environment
  • Collaborate with development teams to contribute to the design, development, and optimization of features in a highly competitive industry
  • Mentor and manage a team of engineers, ensuring they have the support and guidance to reach their full potential
  • Create well-written documentation and procedures, as well as dashboards and reports to provide transparency and visibility for the results of strategic initiatives
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
  • Strong experience in implementing CI/CD in Azure, with a focus on deployment and functionality of container services such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Container Service
  • Experience with Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, Linux, Docker, and a scripting language such as Bash or Python
  • Expertise in version control using Git
  • Ability to create well-written documentation and procedures, as well as dashboards and reports to provide transparency and visibility for the results of strategic initiatives
  • Fluent in English, with an upper-intermediate level of competency for effective communication with the team and stakeholders
Nice to have
  • Experience with other cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus or Grafana
