Lead Azure DevOps Engineer

Join our remote team as a Lead Azure DevOps Engineer. This role focuses on the construction and protection of our Azure cloud environments.

Responsibilities
- Design and execution of Azure cloud security solutions employing an infrastructure-as-code approach
- Partnership with cross-functional teams to incorporate security best practices across Azure infrastructure
- Creation and upkeep of secure, compliant cloud environments
- Establishment of monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments for detecting security incidents and vulnerabilities
- Deployment of access management and security controls in cloud environments for compliance with security standards
- Assurance of cloud environments and applications adherence to security and regulatory standards
- Provision of guidance to other teams on cloud security best practices
- Keeping up-to-date with emerging cloud security trends and technologies
- Regular security evaluations and audits on the cloud infrastructure
- Contribution to the ongoing enhancement of cloud security processes and procedures
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years experience in cloud security engineering-related roles
- A proven track record of leading and mentoring a team of engineers
- Expertise in Azure cloud security, with practical experience in an infrastructure-as-code approach
- Experience in deploying security controls for cloud environments, encompassing monitoring, alerting, and access management
- Proficiency in Git for version control and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
- Solid comprehension of container orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or Openshift
- Experience in setting up monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments
- Strong grasp of web infrastructure fundamentals including DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, networking, security best practices, performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Nice to have
- Experience with both relational and non-relational databases, such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or HyperScale
