Find me a jobWe're looking for a talented and driven Lead AWS DevOps Engineer to become part of our team. We want someone who brings solid, practical expertise in AWS cloud platforms, building CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and integrating systems. The person in this position should feel at home collaborating with development, operations, and infrastructure groups, and should be enthusiastic about driving improvements to tools, upgrading platforms, and leading automation efforts within a large-scale enterprise setting.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines that support both application and infrastructure delivery
- Build and maintain AWS cloud solutions centered on automation, scalability, security, and dependability
- Oversee and improve infrastructure-as-code setups using tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
- Streamline operational and deployment workflows through Bash, Python, Shell scripting, and other applicable scripting tools
- Maintain source control and support build/release workflows with tools including Git, GitLab, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS CodeDeploy
- Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to establish best practices around deployment, monitoring, and reliability
- Take part in initiatives focused on improving tools and platforms, upgrading environments, and advancing DevOps practices
- Help maintain alignment between cloud environments and AWS security best practices, covering IAM roles, security groups, and other controls
- Provide support for networking tasks across both AWS and on-premises setups
- Play a role in troubleshooting operational issues, conducting root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvements
Requirements
- 7+ years of demonstrated experience working with AWS DevOps methods and cloud-based delivery systems
- Extensive background in developing and integrating CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as Git, GitLab CI/CD, and Jenkins
- Skilled in AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeDeploy, along with AWS APIs and other cloud-based tools
- Practical experience working with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
- Deep familiarity with AWS security best practices, covering IAM roles and policies, security groups, and principles of access control and secure setup
- Competency in scripting and automation using Bash/Shell, Python, and SQL
- Some exposure to Perl for automation and scripting purposes
- Practical knowledge of orchestration and automation platforms like Ansible, Puppet, and Rundeck
- Strong command of Linux/Unix systems
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals, spanning both cloud and on-premises connectivity
- Willingness and ability to engage in tooling improvements, platform upgrades, and broader DevOps advancement projects
- English proficiency at a B2+ level or higher
Nice to have
- Background working with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms such as Amazon CloudWatch, Datadog, and Splunk
- Exposure to ELK Stack and Sumo Logic
- Familiarity with other AWS services, such as ECS/ECR/EC2, RDS/Aurora/DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch
- Understanding of Lambda, SNS/SQS, and container/platform tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of ALB/ELB and experience with hybrid environments blending cloud and on-premises infrastructure
- Prior experience operating within large, enterprise-level environments
