Lead Automation Tester (JS) for Financial Technology and Information Company

We are looking for a remote Lead Automation Tester (JavaScript) with 5+ years of software test engineering experience and TypeScript, Agile expertise to join our team.

The customer is one of the world’s largest providers of financial markets data and infrastructure, serving over 40,000 institutions in approximately 190 countries. It provides leading data and insights, trading platforms, and open data and technology platforms that connect a thriving global financial markets community - driving performance in trading, investment, wealth management, regulatory compliance, market data management, enterprise risk, and fighting financial crime.

The project is focused on the redesign and further development of one of the key components of the platform that provides a communication mechanism between applications and most of the customer's infrastructure. Its API is used to obtain required data, notify infrastructure about application events, exchange information between applications, etc. This is a great opportunity for those who would like to switch to JavaScript engineers in the future!

Responsibilities
  • Analyzing the existing solution architecture in order to come up with appropriate architecture approach for test automation
  • Setup and implement test automation processes on the project
  • Strong team player, Communications with customer
  • Task estimation, decomposition
  • Communication with customer technical staff on a daily basis
  • Establishing and continuously applying best practices
Requirements
  • 3+ years of software test engineering experience
  • Deep expertise in JavaScript Core and TypeScript languages
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodology in mixed and distributed environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skill
  • Ideally if candidate has an experience in testing JavaScript libraries/components or has development background in JavaScript
  • Knowledge of particular JavaScript libraries will be a plus: Jest, Sinon.JS, etc.
  • Proficient English (written and spoken) B2
