We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Automation Tester specializing in JavaScript to become part of our remote team.
The main focus of the role includes generating test automation for backend services and UI. This position necessitates a solid grasp of core JavaScript, coupled with experience in WebdriverIO, Mocha, Protractor, and Chai. Utilizing your expertise in testing AWS services, you will collaborate closely with diverse teams, ensuring projects are completed seamlessly. This role involves working under direct customer oversight.
Responsibilities
- Crafting and developing test automation for backend services and UI with a focus on test coverage and quality
- Constructing and executing automated tests, analyzing outcomes and reporting defects
- Teamwork with cross-functional teams including Developers, Business Analysts, and Quality Engineers for smooth project completion
- Participating in code reviews and ensuring best coding practices in automation code
- Leadership and management of the team for successful project outcomes
- Ongoing refinement of the testing process
Requirements
- At least 5 years' experience in automated testing using JavaScript
- A minimum of 1 year in a leadership role within software development teams
- Expertise in WebdriverIO, Mocha, Protractor, and Chai assertion library
- Proficient in SQL and core JavaScript
- Experience in testing AWS services
- Familiarity with Git version control
- Fluency in English, with an upper-intermediate level of competency for clear communication with team and stakeholders
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Jenkins for CI/CD
- Familiarity with BDD (Gherkin), Axios, and Supertest
- Proficiency in using Splunk for log analysis
- Familiarity with Report Portal
- Experience in test management for JIRA
