We are looking for a Lead Automation Tester with expertise in JavaScript to join our remote team.
In this position, you will be responsible for leading the testing efforts of our client's e-commerce platform, leveraging your expertise in Commercetools Platform, Cypress, and REST API. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop robust test strategies, ensuring the platform meets customer needs. Your role will require you to have a deep understanding of MACH platforms, and you will take ownership of the test automation approach, test case development, and test management.
Responsibilities
- Lead the testing efforts of our client's e-commerce platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop robust test strategies
- Develop and implement automated testing approaches to ensure the platform meets customer needs
- Own the test automation approach, test case development, and test management
- Set up and maintain test runners and develop test plans for various projects
- Drive improvements in the testing process and ensure quality standards are met
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members
- Collaborate with developers to ensure that issues are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner
- Ensure that testing is completed on schedule and within budget
- Communicate testing progress, test results, and other relevant information to stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Automated Testing in JavaScript
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring a team of engineers
- Expertise in E-commerce platforms such as Commercetools Platform
- Thorough understanding of REST API
- Proven experience in developing test strategies and test automation approaches
- Expertise in TypeScript and Cypress
- Experience in developing test cases and test plans
- Ability to set up and maintain test runners
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2 level)
Nice to have
- Experience with other MACH platforms such as ReactJS
- Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and CI/CD
- Experience with Contentstack and Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud
