We are currently looking for a remote Lead Automation Tester in Java for a Media company to join our team.
The customer is an Indian subscription video-on-demand streaming service, providing the best of Indian entertainment, TV shows, LIVE cricket, news, and movies.
Responsibilities
- Developing backend tools or frameworks to test Rest APIs, microservices, data migration, failover scenarios, blue green deployment
- Building distributed system for performance and scale testing
- Testing with distributed and big data solutions and mid tier caches
- Building and publishing POCs
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Automation Testing in Java
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Good Knowledge of SQL and scripting
- Experience with Amazon AWS or similar cloud providers
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing and with automated testing tools
- Good understanding of OOPs concepts, REST APIs and its usage
- Well versed in build release and deployment flow especially in iOS & Android
- Experience with performance and/or security testing will be a plus
- Experience in industry best practices in SW development processes: Unit testing, OO design, code reviews etc.
- Hands on with linux commands and shell scripts
