Lead Automation Tester for Analytics Technology Company

We are looking for a remote Lead Automation Tester with 5+ years of test automation and API test development experience, 1+ years of software development experience, high-level competence in Java (Java 7/8) to join our team.

Our customer is a video and analytics technology company that offers a cloud-based platform to help build an engaged and profitable audience. It harnesses the power of big data to help broadcasters, operators, and media companies build more engaged audiences and monetize video with personalized, interactive experiences for every screen.

The company goes beyond the traditional online video platforms: provides software and services, combines best-of-breed technologies with industry-leading video analytics, and helps our customers optimize and automate video programming, streaming, and syndication.

Responsibilities
  • Define testing strategy for the product which consists of few thousands of attributes with references to the additional scope of data
  • Implement automated tests for data validation
  • Select and automate Unit tests for one or two business rules
  • Conduct bug reporting and verification
  • Execute and manage test cases and results, report on test and defect metrics
  • Maintain incoming data quality control
  • Interpret specific business rules for better tests quality
  • Analyze previous solution(s) and reasons of failure, improve processes
Requirements
  • 5+ years of test automation and API test development experience
  • 1+ year of software development experience
  • High level competence in Java (Java 7/8)
  • Knowledge of common Java libraries, concurrency and threading, and design patterns
  • Experience working in an agile framework, understanding of TDD, build automation, and continuous delivery using tools like TestNG/JUnit, Cucumber, Jenkins
  • Experience in performance, scalability, and load testing
  • Understanding of web services and experience in working on large scale systems
  • Excellent issue isolation, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies and process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient English (written and spoken) B2
