We are currently seeking a remote Lead Application Support Specialist with a strong understanding of distributed environments and a keen focus on maintaining application availability.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing several applications, providing guidance, and developing quick solutions to ensure the e-commerce platform considering the different integrations with Backend services and its components at OS, Database, and JVM Levels. You will play a crucial role in keeping the SLAs in good shape and providing guidance to the team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure applications supporting the business are operational per service level agreements
- Proactively lead actions to final solutions
- Perform Application Support maintenance to support application availability requirements
- Conduct Bug Fixing on existing applications, with Java Maintenance experience required
- Maintain the Ecommerce platform and its integrations with Backend services and its own components at OS, Database, and JVM Level
- Maintain good communication and relations with the Customer
- Lead a team, providing quick solutions, guidance, and maintaining a positive work environment
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of focused experience in Application Support with Oracle Weblogic and JBOSS
- 1+ year of relevant leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Informatics, or similar
- Proficiency in Linux systems and strong understanding of Bash Scripts, preferably with Automation experience using Bash/Shell Scripting
- Experience with Application Servers and writing SQL sentences for Application Maintenance
- Proficiency in implementing and administering Applications with Multiple integrations such as ESB, Load Balancing, Reverse Proxies, Clustering, and Database-based components
- Excellent client-facing skills with a proactive approach to leading actions to final solutions
- Excellent ability to quickly understand complex and changing solutions, analyze requests or issues, and provide the best possible solution
- Strong ability to prioritize, re-schedule, or adapt to changes
- Ability to collaborate across different technology services
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills at all levels
- Fluent English language skills for both oral and written communication (B2+ level)
Nice to have
- Experience with E-commerce Platforms or in the Pharmaceutical area
- Experience working with SAP Hybris Platforms or in the Pharmaceutical area
