We are seeking a Lead Application Support Engineer to join our remote team.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the production system, implementation of new features, removal of tech debt, refactoring, and technology modernization. Your expertise in Application Support Tools, Docker, Gitlab CI, SQL, Amazon Web Services, and knowledge of ITIL basics will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of the system.
Responsibilities
- Study existing ticket history, understand the meaning of tickets, categorize them with help of documentation
- Perform handover processes from the existing support team
- Interact with end-users, fulfill requests and process tickets in ServiceNow (SNOW)
- Manage problem resolution through troubleshooting and knowledge base maintenance
- Manage access to the system and work with application developers to debug and find problems
- Help in planning and implementing improvements of existing functionality with a reserved dev capacity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth functioning of the system
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting production systems
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Expertise in Application Support Tools, Docker, Gitlab CI, SQL, Amazon Web Services, and knowledge of ITIL basics
- Experience in troubleshooting issues and working with application developers to debug and find problems
- Strong knowledge of Linux and experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS DynamoDB is an advantage
- Experience in creating and maintaining knowledge-base documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Fluency in spoken and written English, allowing effective communication with stakeholders
