We're seeking a Lead Android Developer to become part of our remote team.

The role centers around the development and support of a top-rated customer Android native app. As a Lead Android Developer, you'll need extensive Android development skills and expert knowledge in Java, App Components, UI frameworks, developer tools, and workflows. You'll be collaborating with both local and remote teams, thus leadership skills and the capacity to work in a dynamic team environment are crucial.

Responsibilities
  • Development and support of the customer Android native app
  • Involvement in the development of next-generation applications
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to guarantee project success
  • Ensuring app development aligns with customer requirements and industry standards
  • Staying updated with latest industry trends and technologies to maintain app relevance
  • Offering guidance and mentorship to junior team members
  • Assuming leadership on projects when necessary
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Mobile App Development
  • At least 1 year of experience in leading software development teams, demonstrating strong leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Android, App Components, UI frameworks, developer tools, and workflows
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Java
  • A firm grasp of Android Design Patterns, Google's Design Guidelines, and Google Play Developer Program Policies
  • Experience with networking, local data caching, and multitasking on Android
  • Familiarity with 3rd party libraries and services
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile processes
  • Capacity to work in a dynamic team environment, with both local and remote resources
  • Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and stakeholders
Nice to have
  • Development experience with other mobile platforms
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development skills
