We are looking for a Lead Accessibility Tester to join our team and ensure our products meet the highest quality standards through detailed testing and thorough reporting.

In this critical role, you will oversee the backlog of testing requests, conduct accessibility tests, and work with various teams to improve the product development process. Additionally, you will take on leadership duties by guiding junior testers and shaping testing strategies. The ideal candidate should have a solid grasp of accessibility standards, expertise in assistive technologies, and robust team communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure end-to-end quality assurance across a broad product range
  • Work closely with key stakeholders from Design, Product Management, and Product Engineering
  • Ensure all testing requests are completed on time, accurately, and meet expectations under the supervision of the Testing Lead
  • Provide expert recommendations on accessibility testing
  • Guide and mentor junior accessibility testers
  • Create and manage the implementation of test plans, scripts, and documentation
  • Collaborate with the Accessibility Test Lead on training initiatives for the testing team
  • Conduct quality audits and recommend strategies to reduce quality errors
  • Handle complex products independently with proficiency
  • Create a positive, supportive team atmosphere that promotes collaboration and innovation
  • Comply with client’s accessibility policy and guidelines
  • Stay informed about emerging accessibility standards and industry trends
  • Continually enhance personal abilities and knowledge in accessibility testing
Requirements
  • BA/BS in information science, information design, computer science, related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum of 7 years testing experience in software development, web development, or similar
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in accessibility-related roles
  • Proven ability to lead testing efforts across multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 (AA) guidelines
  • Advanced expertise in assistive technologies and accessibility-related software including JAWS®, NVDA, and automated testing tools
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar for bug logging and tracking
  • Proven track record in creating test plans and scripts
  • Capable of influencing and defining processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in high-level stakeholder interaction
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to handle ambiguous situations
  • B2+ level proficiency in English communication
