We invite an adept Lead Accessibility Tester to be a part of our remote team.

Your role as a Lead Accessibility Tester is pivotal in guaranteeing that our digital products match the highest quality standards and are accessible to all users. Your proficiency in A11y standards, WCAG, and Section 508 requirements will be crucial in conducting thorough accessibility testing and audits for both desktop and mobile applications. You will be actively engaged with diverse teams, such as designers, business analysts, and developers, to certify WCAG-compliant designs and functional requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Execution of accessibility testing and audits for Desktop and Mobile apps
  • Partnership with cross-functional teams to develop accessible functionality and alternative accessible solutions
  • Leadership, coordination, and supervision of testers during audits or product analysis
  • Estimation of efforts required for Accessibility Testing, Audit, and Analytics per project
  • Presentation of proposals and results to clients
  • Execution of functional testing of web applications on diverse platforms and devices
  • Collaboration with designers, business analysts, and developers
  • Documentation and verification of WCAG-compliant design and functional requirements
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accessibility testing, specification, consulting, and requirements development
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring a team of engineers
  • Extensive knowledge of HTML/CSS, WAI-ARIA, WCAG (2.0, 2.1+), and Section 508 requirements
  • Experience in incorporating Accessibility into CI/CD processes
  • Ability to develop accessibility specifications, test cases, checklists, and test scenarios
  • Proficiency in conducting Accessibility testing and audit for both Desktop and Mobile apps
  • Experience in estimating efforts required for Accessibility Testing, Audit, and Analytics per project
  • Familiarity with bug tracking systems, test tracking systems, and developer tools
  • Expertise in working with assistive technologies such as NVDA, JAWS, TalkBack, and Voiceover
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • B2 level or higher English proficiency
Nice to have
  • WAS, CPACC, Section 508 certifications or Accessibility courses
  • Proficiency in JavaScript
  • Experience in working in Scrum on large projects with multiple distributed teams
