We are in search of a skilled Lead Accessibility Specialist to join our team. As a Lead Accessibility Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our digital products and services are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. Your expertise in accessibility evaluation, knowledge of accessibility standards, and experience with tools such as JAWS and NVDA will be essential in driving the implementation of inclusive design practices across our projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of accessibility best practices across our digital products and services
  • Conduct thorough accessibility evaluations and provide actionable recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with the UX design team to integrate accessibility considerations into the design process
  • Utilize Azure DevOps for managing accessibility-related tasks and tracking progress
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of accessibility and inclusive design
  • Advocate for accessibility best practices and standards within the organization
  • Stay updated on accessibility standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance
  • Communicate with stakeholders to raise awareness and support accessibility initiatives
  • Drive the adoption of inclusive design practices across projects
  • Conduct training sessions to educate teams on accessibility fundamentals and best practices
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in accessibility testing or a related field, with a strong focus on inclusive design
  • Proven expertise in accessibility evaluation, understanding of WCAG guidelines, and experience in implementing accessibility best practices
  • In-depth knowledge of screen reader software, particularly JAWS and NVDA, and their application in accessibility testing
  • Experience in using Azure DevOps for managing accessibility-related tasks and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in UX design tools, such as Figma, and the ability to integrate accessibility into the design process
  • Strong understanding of accessibility fundamentals and standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team, fostering a culture of accessibility and inclusion
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and advocate for accessibility best practices
  • Fluency in written and spoken English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
