Junior Functional Testing Engineer for a Multinational Energy Company

We are currently looking for a remote Functional Engineer with 6+ months+ of experience in software testing and experience maintaining test documentation to join our team.

The customer is a European multinational company providing energy and automation digital solutions for efficiency and sustainability. It addresses homes, buildings, data centers, infrastructure and industries, by combining energy technologies, real-time automation, software and services.

Responsibilities
  • Create test documentation and keep it up to date
  • Review and analyze system specifications
  • Manual testing
  • Document and track software issues using Jira
  • Estimation of testing efforts
  • Reproduce and evaluate Customer reported issues
  • Participate in software quality assurance processes
  • Create test cases based on requirements, execute tests and report progress
  • Analyze and review requirements and project documentation
  • Analyze logs in order to understand the root causes of issues
  • Work with bugs, create and maintain HOWTOs and other materials for QA team
  • Cooperate with development teams, local & remote team members regarding requirements clarifications and quality expectations
Requirements
  • 6+ months of experience in software testing
  • Understanding of the client-server model
  • Knowledge of various software testing techniques and methods, as well as experience applying them
  • Experience maintaining test documentation (check-lists, test cases, etc.)
  • Experience with Browser developer tools for investigating browser problems
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to design formal test cases for functional testing, based on requirements
  • Understanding of the Scrum main terms (stand up, retrospective, backlog, iteration, etc.) and principles
Nice to have
  • E-Commerce-related projects experience
  • Responsive/mobile testing experience
  • Test strategy definition on the level of features
  • Test automation - at least on the level of results analyzing
