We are seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer to join a strategic initiative focused on standardizing, governing, and automating an Enterprise Cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will support a technical homologation strategy from an AWS legacy environment to a highly governed and secure Microsoft Azure ecosystem, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD automation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop OpenTofu/Terraform modules for Azure services, translating existing definitions from AWS
  • Extend, refactor, and fix existing IaC modules to meet technical and security standards
  • Execute formatting, syntax, security, and quality validations using OpenTofu, Checkov, and other defined static analysis tools
  • Deploy, test, and troubleshoot modules within the Azure Sandbox environment
  • Write technical documentation for each module, including variables, outputs, usage examples, prerequisites, and limitations
  • Support the architectural team in the equivalence analysis between AWS and Azure services
  • Help implement security controls, diagnostics, tagging strategies, RBAC, Managed Identities, and required networking configurations
  • Participate in Pull Requests (PRs), code reviews, and resolve technical observations
  • Assist in building and adjusting YAML-based Azure Pipelines and generate deployment evidence
  • Report proactively on blockers, technical risks, dependencies, and scope deviations to the Cloud Architect
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in cloud computing, automation, and CI/CD
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and AWS, with basic to intermediate practical experience operating and deploying services
  • Knowledge of infrastructure programming using OpenTofu and/or Terraform, with exposure to building or maintaining reusable modules
  • Exposure to Azure Pipelines (YAML), Git repositories, and Continuous Integration workflows
  • Understanding of the principle of least privilege, Guardrails configuration, and security testing (SAST/DAST) concepts in CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Bash, with openness to using AI coding assistants to optimize delivery
