We are looking for a Junior Android Developer to join our remote team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in Android development alongside a talented and supportive team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications that meet the needs of our users. This is a great opportunity for a recent technical graduate or someone with equivalent experience looking to start a career in Android development.

Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality Android applications that meet user needs and business requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features and functionality
  • Ensure code quality and maintainability through effective testing and monitoring
  • Debug and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in Android development
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects and meet project deadlines
  • Document code and project progress to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project success
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience
  • 6+ months of experience in Android development, including Java and Kotlin
  • Familiarity with SQL for effective data management and storage
  • Basic knowledge of Spring framework for building robust applications
  • Understanding of software development theory and design principles
  • Ability to debug code and solve technical problems
  • Basic understanding of testing and monitoring for quality assurance
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work in a remote setting with excellent time management skills
  • Upper-intermediate level of English for clear communication with team members and stakeholders
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON
  • Experience with Git for version control
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies for effective project management
  • Understanding of basic UI/UX design principles for creating user-friendly interfaces
