We are looking for a Junior Android Developer to join our remote team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in Android development alongside a talented and supportive team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications that meet the needs of our users. This is a great opportunity for a recent technical graduate or someone with equivalent experience looking to start a career in Android development.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality Android applications that meet user needs and business requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features and functionality
- Ensure code quality and maintainability through effective testing and monitoring
- Debug and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in Android development
- Ensure timely delivery of projects and meet project deadlines
- Document code and project progress to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project success
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience
- 6+ months of experience in Android development, including Java and Kotlin
- Familiarity with SQL for effective data management and storage
- Basic knowledge of Spring framework for building robust applications
- Understanding of software development theory and design principles
- Ability to debug code and solve technical problems
- Basic understanding of testing and monitoring for quality assurance
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a remote setting with excellent time management skills
- Upper-intermediate level of English for clear communication with team members and stakeholders
Nice to have
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON
- Experience with Git for version control
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies for effective project management
- Understanding of basic UI/UX design principles for creating user-friendly interfaces
