We are looking for an experienced remote Java Solution Architect to guide and lead our development teams from an architecture and technical leadership perspective.
The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of practical hands-on experience in software development in relevant engineering domains and have led at least 2 technical teams in the last 3 years. They should also have strong experience with the full life cycle of Agile software development processes, approaches, and methods.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide development teams from architecture and technical leadership point of view
- Start new opportunities and products
- Support current architecture for existing portals and platforms with microservices, event-driven, cloud-native
- Implement PoCs – some ideas from management
- Build cloud-native (Azure) applications, Java, and ReactJS
Requirements
- At least 7 years of practical hands-on experience in software development in relevant engineering domains
- At least 2+ projects in a technical team lead role with constant hands-on work during the last 3 years
- 1+ active vendor technology certificate (or recently passed technology training completion certificate) in one of his/her primary technology stacks
- Strong experience with full life cycle of Agile software development processes, approaches, and methods (SCRUM, XP, Kanban, etc.)
- Good understanding and knowledge of Java 11, Spring Boot 2.0, and K8S
- Experience with Gradle, Docker
- B2+ English level
Nice to have
- Certification from one of the world-class architecture certification vendors (SEI, IASA, etc.)
- Insurance domain knowledge
- Microsoft Dynamics knowledge is a plus (very optional)
