We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect to design and govern our corporate integration ecosystem, define technical standards, and guide development teams in building secure, scalable, and well-architected API and microservices solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and document corporate end-to-end (E2E) integration architecture
- Define technical standards, best practices, and guidelines for API and microservices development
- Lead the selection of integration tools and platforms, including iPaaS, API Gateways, and messaging systems
- Manage the entire API lifecycle, including design, security, versioning, and deprecation, to ensure strong governance
- Support development teams and partners in resolving complex architectural issues
- Apply robust authentication and authorization protocols, such as OAuth2 and mTLS, to secure data in transit
- Promote integration observability by defining monitoring metrics, logs, and alerts
- Guide and elevate the technical proficiency of developers through mentoring
- Negotiate and resolve technical conflicts between squads
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in integration architecture for complex systems
- Proficiency in architectural styles and protocols such as REST APIs, SOAP, GraphQL, gRPC, and Webhooks
- Experience with asynchronous communication and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) using messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, and SQS/SNS
- Knowledge of API Gateways and iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft, Kong, and Apigee, AWS API Gateway, and WebMethods
- Experience in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) and data modeling using JSON and XML
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices applied to integration components
- Systems-thinking and analytical mindset to understand technical impacts on the business
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical terms for business stakeholders and leadership
Nice to have
- Knowledge of specific ecosystems such as SAP, VTEX, Salesforce, or Legacy ERPs
